Why the iTaoBuy Spreadsheet USD Price Is an Estimate
See how this spreadsheet displays approximate USD product prices, why they can differ from the destination listing and what to verify before buying.
The short version.
The dollar figure on a card is a product-research estimate, not a checkout total. This build uses an API-provided USD range when available; otherwise it converts a CNY field with a fixed 7.2 divisor. Neither path adds international shipping or guarantees the price of a selected option.

Nike Air Force 1 White Orange JacketThis build displays ~$33.06 for this record. The mapped card does not retain whether this particular value came from an API-supplied USD field or a CNY conversion, so we cannot claim which path produced it.
Compare the same product and selected option at the destination. Any later agent checkout and shipping charges are separate amounts; this card cannot verify them.
Where the dollar number comes from
The current catalog mapping first accepts a USD estimate supplied with the product record. If that is absent but a CNY price or range exists, it divides that CNY value by 7.2 and rounds it for display. That divisor is a fixed site conversion rule, not a live exchange-rate feed.
The tilde before a price is deliberate. Even an API-supplied USD value is a dated catalog field. The page can help compare candidates in one snapshot, but it is not querying a seller checkout when you refresh or change a filter.
A product estimate is not a parcel total
A selected size or variant can have a different listing price. The buying service may also show domestic delivery, service charges, coupons or international shipping at later stages. The product card cannot collapse those separate decisions into one trustworthy final number.
This is why two visitors can see the same spreadsheet estimate and still reach different totals. Compare like with like: the same product link and option first, then separately record the shipping route and any discount actually applied.
The useful comparison happens after the click
Open the MaisonLooks destination result, confirm that the product title and image still describe the item you meant to inspect, and check the current price for your chosen option. If that page leads to an agent listing, verify the option and amount again there before paying.
If the listing has disappeared or the identity no longer matches, treat the spreadsheet card as an old research lead rather than a substitute offer. Do not silently swap in a similar-looking product and call it the same find.
- Card value: rough product comparison
- Destination value: current product and option check
- Agent checkout: the amount to confirm before payment
When this site should change the number
A corrected catalog field or a reviewed rebuild can change the displayed estimate. It should not be represented as a live quote between builds. The safest label remains “approximate USD” even when the underlying record looks precise to the cent.
For parcel planning, use the shipping guide separately. Product price and shipment cost are different questions, and neither can be inferred reliably from the other.
Three takeaways
- 01
The USD card price is a dated estimate, sometimes converted with a fixed divisor.
- 02
Choose the exact option before comparing prices.
- 03
Confirm the final amount at the destination and buying service.
